Pad Thai, is one of the most beloved noodle dish in Thailand, a longstanding favorite among Thai and foreign visitors, it is available at many street food stalls, and a staple dish in many Thai restaurants. Usually cooked with a flat chewy rice noodle – locally known as SEN JAN. The noodle is stir fried with a mix of ingredients including prawns, tofu, beansprouts and peanuts.
Pad Thai’s unique sweet and sour taste is from the addition of tamarind juice, lime, fish sauce and sugar. You will not find many dish in Thailand that will have this many different layer of tastes and textures, a must try in Thailand.
Boat Noodles
The most intense and delicious broths

Boat Noodles – Guay Tiew Reua, is a traditional dish that was once served in Bangkok’s Canals, the broth is usually cooked with either Cow or Pig blood (It might not sounds appealing, but the blood enhances the flavor and thickness of the broth).
Boat noodles are usually served with a choice of meat, such as beef, chicken or pork, complimented with meatballs, beansprouts, a little vegetable, pork crackling, fried garlic and herbs.
Although you can still find boat noodles being served by vendors on boats, nowadays it is normally consumed in restaurants or from street food vendors.
Papaya Salad ( Som Dtam )

A must try street food list is not complete without a mention of the famous Som Tum. Although the spicy salad dish is associated with the Isaan Region, the Som Tum tastes so good, it is not popularized and is enjoyed throughout the country of Thailand.
The dish is simple to make, but hard to master. The salad is usually made inside a clay or wodden mortar and pestle, the main component is green papayas, mixed together with chillies, dried shrippms, green beans, peanuts and tomatoes, and seaonsoned with fish sauce and lime juice.

The chicken is slow boiled to perfection, giving it the juicy and smooth texture, but what makes this dish stand out, is the rice (Khao Man Gai) translates to Rice Fat Chicken, which actually means Fatty rice with chicken. The rice is so flavorful as it is cooked with the intense chicken broth.
Curry Dishes

Gaeng Keow Wan, the iconic Green Curry, is an incredibly additive Thai dish, usually served with an above average spicy thick, green and coconut curry soup. The protein choice for this intense and flavourful curry is chicken.
Curry dishes in Thailand is sually served with rice, or Kanom Jeen – which is not any rice noodle you have eaten before, Kanom Jeen is a fermented noodle with an unique sweet and midly sour flavour, a perfect carb that helps to balance the spiciness of Thai curries.
